Nunn residents can find current information about town government and community events online at an unofficial web site created by an area resident.
According to the web site, Dec. 15 is the date set for a recall election of the mayor and five trustees, in addition to a special election for one trustee candidate. Sample ballots will be available on Dec. 5.
The new web site, www.townofnunn.net , “was created to give residents and others access to various government documents and public records related to the town,” its creator Jim Woodward said in an online message to viewers. “The Nunn Board of Trustees did not grant permission or approval to create this web site and is not responsible for any of its content.”
The town of Nunn (Colorado), located 13 miles east of Wellington, does not have an official web site that is updated with current information. The site www.nunncolorado.com contains information about the town’s history, its museum, fire department and local businesses.
Here are a few examples of what can be found at www.townofnunn.net:
• A copy of the 200-page Nunn Municipal Code as it was recodified in 2002. Amendments to the code are available at Nunn Town Hall.
• Links to the draft of the proposed land use code prepared by consultant Civil Resources LLC.
• Links to the monthly Nunnion Newsletter.
