Larimer County’s Red Mountain Open Space and Fort Collins’ Soapstone Prairie Natural area, located northwest of Wellington (Colorado), are closed for the winter.

The closures are intended to reduce stress on wildlife, which use the areas for their winter range. Both areas will reopen to the public on March 1.
